Training Pokémon

Training is a very important aspect of WSG, and can help you to get started.

The first step to training is choosing the Pokémon you will be training with. Good training Pokémon have high attack/speed stats, and are usually fighting type Pokémon to utilize STAB, but any Pokémon of your liking will do.

Some commonly used training Pokémon are:

But keep in mind that any Pokémon will do.

Blissey/Chansey Gyms

At the bottom of the RPG there is a toolbar with the link "Battling", that link should open up a window with a list of all viable training accounts. Choose a Blissey or Chansey that is around the level of your training Pokémon and begin battling.

Moves

Using Focus Punch with the Blissey/Chansey gym works the best, though you can use any other move that you feel works best for that gym. Using Focus Punch with a Fighting type pokemon gives an additional STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) which is beneficial to K/O the Blissey/Chansey Gym.

Items

There are quite a few items that can be very useful when it comes to battling, whether they boost stats or amount of exp gained:
