What is The Evalan Maze?

Thousands of years ago, the Evalan Mazes were once used by the natives of Evala to store and protect their wealth deep beneath the Evala Region. The mazes are being excavated for any treasures they hold within them today.

Unlike the other maps, The Mazes do not hold any Pokémon to be caught, but instead hold treasures to be found.

Maze Sizes

There are four different maze sizes, the larger ones of course hold more treasures that are waiting to be found.

  • Small Maze - 10x10
  • Medium Maze - 20x20
  • Large Maze - 40x40
  • Extreme Maze - 100x100

Light Sources

Level 1 Light Source

  • Wandering through the mazes with nothing to increase your visibility! It is recommended that you find a way to light up the dark mazes.

Level 2 Light Source

  • Bringing a Litwick.gif Litwick or Chinchou.gif Chinchou in your roster will slightly increase your visibility inside the mazes.

Level 3 Light Source

  • Sweet%20Honey%20(Maze).png Sweet Honey, an item that can be found while searching the mazes, will increase your light radius for a total of 10 steps.
    • Can only be used with a Level 2 light source in your roster.

Rewards

The mazes hold a plethra of various rewards, usually with bigger treasures in the dead ends of the mazes.

Rewards include:

  • Spirit%20Shard.png Spirit Shards, one hundred of them can be used to construct a Spirit Orb, which can then be used to unveil the Maze Guardian.

Leaving The Maze

  • The exit to every maze is in the bottom right corner of the maze, when you reach it a pop-up will appear asking if you would like to exit.
    • If you are unable to find the exit to the maze, you may be able to find an Escape%20Rope%20(Maze).png Escape Rope, which you can use to instantly exit the maze.

Halloween

Previously, during October 2017, the Evalan Mazes were open to the public for the first time to kick-start the 2017 Halloween Event, while simultaneously testing out the new maze feature.

The Mazes were filled with Halloween candy Halloween%20Candy.png and Halloween Lollipops Halloween%20Lollipop.png, which could be used to buy various consumable items in the Halloween Shop, and the lollipops could be turned in, in exchange for two eggs which would hatch into Litwick.gif EventLitwick and Petilil.gif EventPetilil.
